For months, people would drive by the corner of Adeola Odeku and Agoro Odiyan Street in Victoria Island wondering what new and exciting restaurant was coming to Lagos. In December, the red lights of the Crepaway logo were finally turned on and the doors were open to their newest restaurant. For over 35 years, Crepaway has been opening branches across the Middle East with great success, and they have now landed on the shores of Lagos, bringing with them years of experience, and of course, a concept based on combining good food with a fun and quirky ambiance.

When you enter Crepaway, the high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows with light pouring in are what immediately catches your attention. The decoration is well-thought-out, fun and animated, a feel-good ambiance that you can easily come to regularly for any occasion without getting bored. Seating ranges from large booths for a group of close friends to small, dimly lit, intimate booths for those more personal meals. They can easily cater to large groups in their main dining space, or for private gatherings, their space in the back can also accommodate large groups. The mysterious, yet very sexy and brilliant staircase neatly situated on one side of the restaurant leads to their soon-to-be-open terrace, a modern outdoor lounge where you can enjoy drinks and exotic cocktails late into the night.

Crepaway, contrary to what their name suggests, has a diverse menu that is made of crowd favorites, from their shareable appetizers to their famous burgers and mouth-watering crepes. They even cater to those counting calories with a light menu, so no more deprivation!

Over time, the Crepaway brand has evolved from a single restaurant with a large crepe menu to what it is today, a trendy and modern casual dining brand with a diverse menu that people have placed their trust in for over three decades. The menu is not pretentious. It’s comprised of top quality ingredients put together to create dishes that put a smile on your face. Their famous burgers, made with premium chargrilled, juicy Black Angus beef, are fast making a name for themselves on the Lagos circuit. Whether you go for the Classic or the more adventurous Spielmozzarella burger, accompanied with their addictive curly fries, you will certainly count them amongst your top burgers in Lagos.

Beyond their burgers, they have a great selection of pastas, including a Creamy Pesto that is a perfect balance of pesto and creaminess; sandwiches that include all the classics from chicken to club; and salads that are both traditional and creative, such as the Mango’s World, which can best be described as a deconstructed maki roll with a spicy kick. Even their appetisers allow you to try something unique such as the Bang Bang Chicken: tender pieces of grilled, skewered chicken that are glazed with sweet chili mango, drizzled with their bang bang sauce and topped with crispy chips, so every bite has a crunch to it.

You certainly can’t leave Crepaway without having tried a crepe, or any of their desserts, in fact. The Martine is a classic with rich Belgian chocolate, banana and a generous sprinkling of nuts. And for those looking for something a little less classic, the Melteaser, layers of marbled ice cream and Maltesers, dressed in caramel and warm chocolate sauce, almost like a beautiful gown, is easily their most indulgent dessert.

No matter who you are, from top executives looking for a relaxing lunch or high school sweethearts on your first date, from a baby shower to a retirement party, whatever the reason, they want you to Come As You Are Lagos, because for them, your experience is all that matters.
